A real muddle through threads for me today, with three tips needed to get things done and a head scraper at the end before I finally saw that the word we were looking for was polyester.
I was really not on my game today. I even connected the letters of the non-play word wool and completely missed out on wool-foaling me like a pretty fool as the hint gave me exactly that.
I guess if you get the puzzle done, it’s too unimportant. I hope you found it easier.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
