A light, relaxing word study that saw my mind wandering.
I have a friend in the construction who spent 18 months building a huge factory that was completely dedicated to the production of Easter eggs. It seems crazy for a product that really should just be available for a few weeks a year.
In the UK, however, Easter has a larger structure than any other chocolate -based holiday (let’s see what they are about the chocolate). Almost as soon as Christmas is over the first hollow chocolate eggs start to appear from actual egg size to chocolate eggs the size of your head-long multiplied and occupies the entire supermarket’s walk until tomorrow when they disappear completely.
According to my research (ERM, Tiktok), things seem a little quieter elsewhere in the world – though the United States has peeps, a marshmallow joy that has failed to do it elsewhere in the world. Maybe they have really high tariffs or something.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
