The theme “Practice makes perfect” could apply to almost everything there is, so after finding half a dozen non-playing words I decided to take a tip.
Tip I got, the melody, immediately made me think of music, just like the scale, which I discovered next. But it was only before I saw piano and then lessons that ears finally fell.
I automatically go to rare letters when I do a thread search, but I was somehow blind to technique and saw it last of everything. But then one of the wonders of this game is how often words are hiding in sight and even without twists and right-to-left reading you don’t see them.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
