New -threads today (game #543) – the answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #543, are …
- Gabby
- Verbose
- Voluble
- Talking alig
- Loquacious
- Spangram: Chatterbox
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
Today’s theme gave us no clues at all, so I started by circulating the board looking for opportunities and non-playing words that would give me a tip.
Among them I saw Evita -What very briefly made me think we could be looking for the musicals-but this was neither a game word nor non-playing word.
A tip gave me Gabby, who immediately made me think we were looking for words that describe someone who can’t stop talking. The first thing I thought of and then ran everywhere was Chatterbox.
Some of the other words were less obvious – I was in doubt about Voluble as I connected the letters with guesswork, and the wonderful Loquacious came last after several attempts to share a word that began with a Q.
