Strands is really an education.
I knew that platypus is a strange mammal with a duck’s expense, otter-like body and beaver-type tail. And I knew they are unique to Australia. But I had no idea that they also had stingers (yes, the male of the species does the least).
It turns out that being toxic is just one of the many remarkable features of this incredible creature – they have two layers of fur, they lay eggs, they glow in the dark, they hunt using electror reception, plural of platypus is platypus. They can complete threads in 45 seconds without tips. They are brilliant.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s new word game after Wordle and Connections. It is now out of beta, so it is a fully developed member of Nyt’s Games Stable and can be played on the new Games site on desktop or mobile.
