A relatively straightforward threads today with lots of interesting tips to find in the middle of the right ones.
Proprietary products are things produced by a particular company rather than a generic product. Confusion often arises when this product becomes so successful that the product name replaces the name generic objects in popular speech – such as Hoover instead of vacuum cleaner and, yes, all the products in today’s search.
The companies behind these products are often incredibly vigilant over their abuse and about enforcing their trademark. When I became a journalist, I realized this when I used the word Biro instead of Ballpoint Pen and used a lower case b.
Once, as the written word was much more edited than it is today, mistakes were uncommon, and a publication or website would spend time verifying if that bubble bath was an actual jacuzzi or jacuzzi wannabe.
Now, more often, the cost of popularity is not the loss of your capital letters and shares your focus with your Wannabe competitors.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
