Hi everyone, it’s Marc here, back in a few days while Johnny takes a well -deserved break.
Everyone experiences a little sadness from time to time, and in my case it really hit me under the covid pandemic in 2020. I suspect I’m far from alone in that regard, and most of the emotions in today’s threads, from blue to gloom to melancholy.
It did not make it easier to solve the puzzle, admittedly; This was a difficult from start to finish. I needed a tip to get the first, blue, then along with the theme’s clue on ‘downtime’ were able to determine what the concept was.
Sadness, the span -framed, was an easy place, but after that I had to work for every word and needed another tip for the impossible complicated woebegone.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
