The answers to today’s threads, game #388, is …

Although it was pretty obvious that today’s threads were for Lion King, I still snagged the lion as a tip word – not that any hints were needed in a straightforward word search.
I wanted to bet that zebra was almost everyone’s first word, not that they contain much in the story that acts as extras and backs for a few jokes.
Although it is about the Animal Kingdom, including a Flatulent Worthog, this classic tale of sibling rivalry is very Shakespearian. In fact, screenwriter Irene Mecchi said the idea for the movie was beaten to her as the bamblet – Hamlet, put in the jungle with a bit of bambi thrown in. Well, I suppose it’s better than Disney’s idea for a love story in a yard – Rameo and Eweliet someone?

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
