NEW Strands today (game #622) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #622, are…
- GLASSES
- BINOCULARS
- PROTECTIVE GLASSES
- LENSES
- GLASSES
- SPANGRAM: EYETOEYE
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: Perfect
Even though it was hiding in my usual starting possession, I couldn’t see GLASSES – Oh! The irony!
Instead, I spied the non-pun intended word “geese”, which instantly made me think of the excellent band of the same name and my current favorite song of theirs, taxes, which I haven’t stopped thinking about for weeks. I think it was still on my brain as I gathered other money-related words that weren’t gambling, “rent”, “stolen”, “cost” and “sale”.
Anyway, I digress. GLASSES eventually discovered, I managed to navigate around the board and find the other seeing objects quite easily – although BINOCULARS gave me a little trouble spelling. I’m more of a “monocular” person.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, November 14, Game #621)
- WEAK
- NEBULOUS
- DIFFICULT
- SUBTLE
- INVESTIGATED
- SPANGRAM: BARELY THERE
