NEW Strands today (game #629) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #629, are…
- TIGER
- CRIMSON
- QUAKERS
- LIONS
- BEARS
- BULL DOG
- SPANGRAM: SPORTS TEAM
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Even though I had no idea about today’s theme, I found it super easy to find all the different teams that begin with TIGERS, which were conveniently located at the bottom of the square.
My guess was that we were looking for the names of SPORTSTEAMS associated with Ivy League colleges, something that isn’t really well known here in the UK where I’m based.
It was interesting to see a few unique nicknames among the usual ferocious animals in QUAKERS, associated with the University of Pennsylvania athletic teams, and CRIMSON, associated with the team from Hogwarts…
… and Harvard.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, November 21, Game #628)
- ALIGN
- PIVOT
- INTERRUPT
- CONNECTION
- SCALE
- IDEAS
- SPANGRAM: CORPORATESPEAK
