NEW Strands today (game #615) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #615, are…
- PORTAL
- ENTRY
- GATE
- DOORWAY
- ENTRANCE
- THRESHOLD
- SPANGRAM: LETMEIN
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I’m glad I didn’t use any hints today, as this was a far from straightforward search, with several hard-to-find words (I tapped “door” and “doors” before finally getting DOORWAY).
The phrase “knock, knock” is usually answered with “who’s where?”, but after getting PORTAL, ENTRANCE and GATE in quick succession at the top of the board I knew we weren’t looking for something to do with jokes.
Despite getting the spanram pretty quickly after my first burst, I struggled with the bottom half of the board and it took me a while to figure out that we were looking for INGRESS and THRESHOLD on our way to glory.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, November 7, Game #614)
- SAMBA
- TANGO
- SALSA
- TEJANO
- MARIACHI
- REGGAETON
- SPANGRAM: LATIN MUSIC
