Like JRR Tolkein yesterday, today’s quest was a mystery to me – but I still managed to find a passage through it.
When you find a non-game word like “branding” it’s hard not to convince yourself that it should be part of the spanframe, so I wasted a while trying to attach another word to it before giving up – and failing to quite spot BRAKING.
However, I saw BEAUTYSALON, which set me on my way in fine style.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
