I’m sure there were lots of people playing today’s game who had no idea what a grandfather is and even those among us who did what words we could look for.
Like someone who is ridiculously uneasy with ticking sounds, I have never had one or fortunately stayed in a house containing one – but I knew a pendant is a key component. After getting it, however, I was lost, so took a tip.
Today’s extra-long Spengel Gram is the second 16-letter long beast, we’ve had this month after opposite’sattract-but still a letter behind constantly leader, batteries, which were imposed from July.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
