A fresh spell and snowfall is set to begin over Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) from March 9 to March 16, causing authorities to issue weather alerts.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the system will bring rain, thunderstorms and snowfall in mountainous areas affecting both upper and erasing regions of KP, reported Express News.
The provincial disaster control authorities (PDMA) in Punjab and KP have instructed district administrations to remain in high alarm and take preventative measures to avoid any unfortunate incidents caused by heavy rain or snowfall.
PDMA KP has advised officials to ensure the availability of machines and resources in vulnerable areas. Meanwhile, farmers have been encouraged to consider the weather forecast while planning agricultural activities.
Tourists visiting northern regions have been asked to control the weather conditions and road closures before traveling. The PDMA aid line is available for additional guidance on travel and safety conditions.
The magic form with comfortable weather continues over Punjab, including Lahore, leading to a gradual increase in temperature. However, rain is expected in several districts in the province from March 12 to March 16.
According to PMD, cloudy and sunny intervals will continue in most districts in Punjab, including Lahore, today and tomorrow, but no rain is expected.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature is expected to be 17 ° C, while the maximum temperature can reach 27 ° C.
