A lovely threads today with a rare long word that I can actually spell – embroidery.
Depending on your taste, all clothes set up accents in today’s puzzle either a clothing to another level of glam or destroys a perfectly decent piece of clothing.
Personally, I am all for pimping clothes and have spent many a happy hour with my daughters sewing and adhering sequins on everything they would have added – from hats to socks. And then many years afterwards, after dreaming of becoming a mermaid has long faded, and finds random sequins under furniture such as finding pine trees in the month after Christmas.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s new word game after Wordle and Connections. It is now out of beta, so it is a fully developed member of Nyt’s Games Stable and can be played on the new Games site on desktop or mobile.
