The theme contained “Buzz” for the second day in order, but today it was about games showing summers rather than bumblebees.
An unknown with us game shows made this quite difficult for me to be based in the UK, but such is the globalization of TV formats, as many were well known.
Although firmly established in TV history, Jeopardy! Have just done it over the pond where the brilliant Stephen Fry is the avuncular and thoroughly charming host.
As all games show, it depends on a carefully calibrated format that contains questions/answers that are easy enough for the audience to feel smart.
The same cannot be said for catch phrases that depend on at least one harebrained participant to be entertaining, such as the family member who replied “chicken poo” when he was asked to name a type of food.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
