New Strands Today (Game #377) – The answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #377, is …
- NOTEBOOK
- Lanyard
- Tote
- Label
- SHIRT
- BOTTLE
- PENCIL
- Spangram: Swag bag
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 tip
In Britain there is a famous businessman called Sir Alan Sugar (like Donald Trump, he has made his name on our version of The apprentice) There has a word he likes to use for the objects listed in today’s search. He calls it “toot,” in other words cheap things that have little value other than that you can add with marketing -nous.
Anyone who has been at a conference or launch event will be familiar with the described Swag bag, and despite the fact that you know will never use it tote or bottle (mainly because of it is toot), you can’t help but get excited to receive all these things for free. It’s a very strange transaction.
The best swag bags I’ve ever had were at the end of the marathons I used to do; Then you would get really important things like a banana, an energy bar and some water. In this kind of circumstances, they would never have put in a pencil, because some exhausted runner would accidentally eat it.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new strings answer (Friday, March 14, Game #376)
- APPLE
- PEACH
- Pecan
- CHERRY
- PUMPKIN
- BLUEBERRY
- Spanggram: Classic pies
