Some of today’s dirty words were particularly difficult to find. Even with a tip, it took me a while to be contaminated in the middle of the highlighted letters. Tricky as it can be, this is the joy of threads. Twists and turns separate it from a Humdrum WordSearch.
Unfortunately, Filthy reminded me of the terrible song of everyone’s second favorite member of N-Sync, Justin Timberlake, where he asks the object for his love to “put your dirty hands on me” and, if memory serves, boil some meat. It’s all very uncomfortable.
Say what you like about JT, but he has always stayed very tidy and the opposite of effortless – even when his hair looked like a block of noodles. You wouldn’t catch him with colored chinos or muddy timberland.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
