New Strands Today (Game #422) – The answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #422, is …
- Taco
- TORTOISE
- WALNUT
- Nuclear
- Nautilus
- Armadillo
- Spanggram: Shells
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 2 tips
I found today’s threads one of the most challenging for a while and needed a few tips to get me across the line – and even with the hints I found it difficult to see nucleus and nautilus.
“I immediately covered,” made me think of cover and cases, but I didn’t immediately think we were looking for shells.
The first word I saw in the grid was the coat, which I thought was sure to be one of the words we were looking for.
Instead, it was an anagram of coat that was correct and Taco confused me even more. Turtle fired up the theme, but after getting the excitement and walnut, I pulled an empty.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
