New Strands Today (Game #393) – The answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #393, is …
- Roan
- DAPPLE
- Buckskin
- Chestnut
- Palomino
- Spanggram: Horse dyes
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 4 TIP
Even with four tips, I still struggled with today’s word search. I guess I’ve spent my whole life ignoring horse colors.
The only color I tapped out with confidence was chestnut and that’s only because Chestnut jump Of Byrds is my fourth favorite song about horses. Give it a listening, it’s pretty crazy.
My top three, by the way, are Crazy horses of osmonds (for giggles), theme tuna for the 1960s TV show White horses (for the innocence of youth) and Wild horses of Rolling Stones (for the melancholy majesty).
As previously mentioned, tensions beginning in the middle of the puzzle, are an abomination and should be banned by the international surprising authorities.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new strings answer (Sunday 30 March, Game #392)

- Soprano
- Tenor
- Treble
- Bariton
- Mezzo
- Spangram: Cord
