The answers to today’s threads, game #490, is …

All of these “I have done invisibility a lot, erm, visible today. Although to be fair, all the words of the day were hidden in the sight and did not need much of a marvelous superpower to reveal.
That said, the very first word I looked at the grid, “girl” right next to “power” was, so I flirted briefly that this was something to do with Spice Girls.
Asking someone what superpower they would like is a good conversation starts that can reveal a lot about a person, especially if it comes with the warning that you do not actually have to do good things with it – like fighting for evil geniuses and their henchmen and henchmen.
Flight would be interesting and strength would be nice, and being invisible would mean a lifetime of free sports and concerts, but I like the idea of speed – though I needed to find someone with the healing superpower first so they could sort out my knees.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
