The theme made me look immediately for sauce – the tasty sauce we have in England, not the American version – but the lack of a letter g or V made me think otherwise.
Instead, we were in search of non -dairy milk varieties, and although the two most common – oats and soy – were absent, it turned out to be an elementary search with few surprises.
As a lactose intolerant person, I have sampled many of these alternatives and some that did not cut, such as peas, sesame seeds and chufa (sometimes known as tiger nuts), but I have never seen macadamia milk.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
