Anyone who has visited London and traveled on the pipe will be familiar with the publication of public service at many stations to “remember the gap” who intended to warn passengers of the often quite large holes between the train entrance and the platform.
It is unique British, but what always bothering me about it is, why can the great minds that built and develop the miraculous London underground, also build or at least customize the trains or platforms so that we do not have to “remember the gap”?
Still, I’ll take off. Today’s threads were quite the challenge, and even after finding five of the seven words, I still had to use a tip to get me across the line. I had seen “hole” and put it on my list of non-game words but neglected to see the word “Due” before that.
It had all started – after spying Nook, I just knew that the puzzle had to contain cranny and it proved it. Crevice came next, which reminded me of the time I looked down at a mile-deep column while I was a snowmobile in Iceland. It’s another digression, but let’s just say on the occasion I really minded the gap.
