McMahon, as the wife of WWE -Basic Vince McMahon, has been heavily involved in the wrestling entertainment product for decades. She even led the WWE organization as CEO.
Newsom’s office, which made lights on the title IX violation message with a clip of McMahon’s WWE -earlier, however, asked severe setbacks.
Many critics pointed out that the clips portray a man who physically overpower a woman who is often centered as one of the most common arguments against letting biological men compete in girls and women’s sports.
“So a man who easily destroys a woman is how you want to forward that boys belong in girls sports?” An X user wrote.
Another critical user wrote, “Thank you for proving our point. Men are stronger than women. I can’t believe you have actually sent this view of male violence.”
Several prominent women’s rights activists and groups made separate positions that spoke against Newsom’s office over the joke.

Said McMahon in a performance on “FOX & FRIENDS” On Wednesday, California would risk losing its federal funding to its K-12 schools if the requirements are not met.
A press release from the US Ministry of Education says California’s High School Sports League, CIF and California Department of Education (CDE) have 10 days to change their policy or risk referral to the US Department of Justice.
Newsom responded to the education department later Wednesday.
“It wouldn’t be a day that ends on ‘Y’ without the Trump administration threatening to defend California. Now Secretary McMahon is confusing the government with its wrestlemania days -dramatic, false and completely divorced from reality. This is not adhering,” Newsom man Izzon Gardon told Pakinomist Digital.
CIF said it did not comment on legal questions.
“California’s educational department believes that all students should have the opportunity to learn and play in school, and we have consistently applied existing law to support student rights to do so,” Liz Sanders, communications director at California’s Ministry of Education, told Pakinomist Digital.
Newsom earlier talked about transgender participation In Girls Sports back in March with prominent conservative Charlie Kirk.
“The young man who is winning the state championship in the long leap in female sports should not happen,” Kirk said. “You, as a governor, should go out and say no. Would you do something similar? Would you say that no men in female sports?”
“I think it’s a matter of justice. I totally agree with you about it. It’s a matter of justice – it’s deeply unfair,” Newsom told Kirk. “I don’t fight with the fairness question. I totally agree with you.”
Kirk pressed Newsom about whether he would condemn that athlete from the Jurupa Valley High School after the athlete won another event at the time. Newsom did not directly treat the victory, but said, “It’s a matter of justice.”
“So it’s easy to call the unfairness of it,” he said. “There is also a humility and a grace. … These poor people are more likely to commit suicide, have anxiety and depression. And the way people speak to vulnerable societies is a question that I also have difficulty with.
“So both things I can hold in my hand. How can we solve this problem with the kind of decency that I think you know is inherent in you, but not always expressed about the question?”
