- A new round leaks regarding the next Xbox console has hit the internet
- The new console will reportedly surpass the PS5 Pro and Target Native 4K 120fps Performance
- It could arrive as soon as the end of 2026 to the beginning of 2027
Microsoft may be all-in on its next generation Xbox console, and it may be launched before you think.
As reported by NotebookCheck, a new round of leaks from Moore’s law died died that the next Xbox console could largely surpass the PS5 Pro with regard to performance and visual faith.
The new system, the codename Magnus, will reportedly have AMD’s RDNA 5 GPU and Zen 6 CPU. According to Moore’s law, graphic capabilities here would roughly correspond to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 card. The system will reportedly be able to target Native 120FPS performance at 4K resolution. We can also expect improved beam tracking features.
As for the launch window, Moore’s law suggests a release time in late 2026-2027. It’s a little earlier than I expected, considering the seven-to-eight-year-old hole found with recent console generations. It may also suggest that you should not once again expect a massive PS1 for PS2-Esque technological jump.
It is also reported that the next Xbox console will rely on AMDS FSR scaling technology. So, unlike the PS5 Pro’s PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), Microsoft potentially does not look at developing its own AI SPAPING SOLUTION.
Backward compatibility also seems likely, which means that the current generation of Xbox players should be able to transfer their gaming libraries to the new console without any problems. Although part of this is related to whether the next Xbox will contain a disk drive or whether Microsoft chooses to go full disclosure that we have recently seen proof with the Xbox Series X Digital Edition.
