‘Next time it will be 60-0,’ Air Vice Marshal Shehryar warns India on Defense Day

In a bold statement of military decision, Air Vice Marshal Shehryar Ahmad Khan warned of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) that any future aggression from India would provoke a much stronger reaction than before, claim: “If the scoring was 6-0 last time, the next time it will be 60-0, God is willing.”

His remarks came during a solemn defense day ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, where Air Vice Marshal confirmed PAF’s unwavering obligation to defend the country’s airspace with professionalism, readiness and determination.

The comments referred to the military three -year -olds earlier this year when India launched missile attacks in May after accusing Pakistan of an incident in Pahaldam. In response, Pakistan Operation Conducted Bunyan Al Marsoos, a military counter -offensive multi -front that lowered six Indian aircraft, including Rafale Jets. When he highlights PAF’s operational heritage, Khan cited central missions, including Zarb-E-Azb, Swift Retort and the recent Bunyan Al Marsoos, and claimed that the air defense has consistently lived up to the nation’s expectations. “PAF has never disappointed the people of Pakistan. Whether in combat operations or during natural disasters and rescue tasks, we have provided,” he said.

Khan emphasized that the strength of Pakistan’s air defense lies in professionalism and patriotism by its staff. “Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos revived memories of 1965 and confirmed the unity of our brave soldiers and our resilient civilians,” he said.

Earlier in the day, a formal guarding ceremony was held at Quaid’s Mausoleum, where 73 cadets – 66 men and 7 women – from PAF Academy Asghar Khan took over duties. Air Vice Marshal inspected the parade and put a flower wreath at Mausoleum for the basic father.

Khan said the young cadets said, “It is a privilege to hold the command in Pakistan Air Force. This ceremony is not only tradition – it represents the readiness and determination of our airmen on any front.”

He completed his address with a tribute to the nation’s martyrs and their families. “We honor those who laid their lives to make this land a cradle of peace,” he said. “We greet the parents who gave their sons and daughters to Pakistan’s defense. With the support of the nation, we will ward off every step that has been taken against our land – sinking that the scoring will not be 6-0 but 60-0.”

Senior military officials, including Corps Chief Karachi Lieutenant General Muhammad Owais Dastgir, Dg Rangers Sindh General General General Muhammad Shamraiz, and representatives from all three armed forces also paid their respect for Mausoleum.
