After the NFL -Quarterback views were not selected in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday, many critics discussed why on social media.
The former Democratic American Rep. Jamaal Bowman joined the debate on Friday, suggesting that Sanders was slipping was because “America continues to fear strong black men.” Bowman also compared 23-year-old Quarterback with former NFL star Eli Manning, who refused to play for San Diego Chargers after being selected with No. 1 election in 2004.
“NFL doesn’t like [Shedeur]Sanders because he wears gold chains and speaks as a rapper. They don’t care that he is a leader, intelligent, hard and completed 77% of his passport without o-line and no running games. He is right, but Eli Manning was not entitled to when he refused to be prepared by San Diego? “Bowman wrote on X.
“He is not athletic, but it did not stop Joe Montana, Drew Brees or Tom Brady. America continues to fear strong black men who come from funds and have a strong sense of themselves without submitting to the ‘dominant’ culture.”

Bowman added in the video that he expects Cleveland Browns to pick Sanders with the first choice of the second round on Friday night.
“That’s the way cooked dresses. That’s the way he speaks, and it’s his culture, in my opinion. You see him on the draft last night. He has everything black. He got the l -chain and he speaks as a rapper,” Bowman said.
The first player chosen in the draft was the former Miami -Quarterback Cam Ward, who is also black. Twenty -five of the 32 players selected in the first round Friday were black men.
