Cam Ward’s Travel to No. 1

When he got out of high school, Ward didn’t have a single offer from an FBS school. He had to start his college trip to the University of the Incarnate Word and worked extensively to get the opportunity to play in Washington State and then transfer again to Miami this last season.

So while it was presumably that Ward would go first to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night, the official election had Hurricanes product all emotional during his interview on the Green Bay scene.

“I just thank God, man,” Ward said, fought through tears. “The hard work that I sat through, and just the incredible work ethic that I have. I just always believe.”

When asked by Espn’s Molly McGrath about the feeling she heard in his voice, Ward replied why that was the case.

“I just wanted to say the toddler in me who wanted it,” he replied.

Will Campbell would ‘die’ for patriots

The fourth overall election in the draft was the LSU Star Offensive Tackle Will Campbell, which will hopefully be Drake Mayes blind -side protects as long as they are New England Patriots teammates.

Campbell came out onto the draft with a bright smile and his patrioter hat on before giving some words about his feelings after hearing his name called. When asked what was behind his smile, he said, “That’s all the hard work,” but he cut himself off because he felt the feeling come to his face.

The audience gave him a loud cheer as he worked to get his feelings in check.

“I worked my whole life to be up here to get my name called by a franchise like New England. That means everything to me,” Campbell continued.

If the first cheer was not high enough, Campbell had everyone, not just Patriots fans who loved his response when asked what New England can expect from him right away.

“I want to fight and die to protect them with everything I got,” he replied.

Kelvin Banks Jr. Shares the special moment with mom

If you knew the story of Kelvin and Monica Banks, you would understand why the former couldn’t stop crying at home, surrounded by friends and family as he embraced his mother after New Orleans Saints took him ninth.

Monica Banks has been fighting for health problems since her son’s first year in Texas, and it came to the point where she was placed in hospice care. But when doctors removed her gallbladder, her health began to see a positive trend back to normal.

So the celebration was more than just Kelvin Banks on his way to the NFL, and it clearly showed when he had to put the holy hats over his face, even after their embrace because of how much he cried.

Malaki Starks ’22 -Seconds hug with Commissioner Goodell

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell loves to greet every rookie when they get their name called for night one, and sometimes these parties become for him that is lifted from the ground.

Starks did it when Baltimore Ravens called him late on Thursday night, but the embrace never stopped. Starks clearly became emotional and Goodell spoke to him through it.

MAXWELL HAIRSTON = Good teammate

The Buffalo calculations called Kentucky Cornerback with the 30th overall choice to participate in their ranks, ending a three-hour long wait to hear his name called in round 1.

But what Hairston did before hearing his name called went viral on social media – he congratulated every single view taken before him in the NFL Draft Green Room.

When it was finally his time to shine, he couldn’t hold back tears when he embraced his father. As Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz put it, Hairston is a “special person” and the city of Buffalo will certainly see it.

Mike Green’s WaterWorks

The Marshall product was one of the most raw with regard to emotions Friday night when day two of the draft began. In the second round, Ravens called his name, and each broadcast showed a happy family and a crying green in a living room – a scene we have seen many times in the NFL draft.

The crew shared the words that the Ravens GM Eric Decosta and head coach John Harbaugh told him in the emotional time.

Controvers swirled around the green after two separate accusations of sexual assault that allegedly had teams removing him from their boards. The ravens explained their choice of green during a press conference and said that thorough investigations had been carried out and that they were sure of the person they had prepared.

Cam Tax DO CAN’T BELIEVE IT

On day 3, there were still some influence players left on the draft of the board. In fact, many would argue that rounds 4-7 are where teams really win the draft as they find value in their choice.

New York Giants went with Arizona State driving back Cam Tax Bo with their selection of the fourth round, and tricked the fan favorite whose confidence radiates with every touch of football.

When broadcasts cut to his family home, where they learned the news, treasure treasurer continued to shake his head up and down as he couldn’t understand the Giants hat on his head. Again, the realized dream is a powerful thing.

And Tax Lege knew just how to love Giants’ fanbase when he broke his Michael Strahan # 92 jersey for everyone to see.

Benjamin Morrison’s emotional promise of bucs

To wrap it up, perhaps the best draft day call for Morrison in the second round when Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought Notre Dame Cornerback into the fold.

Head coach Todd Bowles played with his father, Daryl, so the connection is already there. But Bucs did not expect to hear Morrison looked emotional when he got on the phone.

“Thank you for believing in me,” Morrison said with tears running down his face.

“Man, I don’t want to fail you. I promise you, man,” Morrison told Coach Bowles. “Thanks a lot.”

If you ever wonder how much to become drafts, whatever sport means just look at Morrison on this phone call that he will never forget.
