“I expect I think everyone expects them to take a quarterback and that’s just part of the game,” Flacco said. “Each team is looking to get the next guy and make their team as good as possible for the future and that’s part of it.”

Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders and Jaxson Dart have been the most talked about quarterbacks in the draft pool coming into the event. Flacco did not specify when he thought the browns would take it.

Ward is anything but a lock to go to Tennessee Titans, which has # 1 choice. Browns have the choice # 2 and may end up with Shedeur Sanders. Pakinomist Digital Mock Draft predicted Browns that took Heisman Trophy -Winner Travis Hunter.

Flacco admitted that he did not exactly see the ties of any of the incoming rookies.

“I don’t get a lot of a chance to look at these guys. Man, 40 years old, and with little kids myself, I’m not sitting on the couch on Saturdays so often and watching college football,” he said. “I know that a lot goes into looking at these guys, and for whatever reason you never quite know if you want to hit or not. But these guys have put a lot of work to come where they are. They deserve a lot of respect to do so.”

Flacco was No. 18 Election of the NFL draft in 2008 by Baltimore Ravens.

He led Ravens to a Super Bowl in 2012. When his time with Ravens was over, he played for Denver Broncos, New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts. He is in his second stint with Browns.
