Colorado Quarterback Skyeseur Sanders Took a shocking slide in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday night, with both New York Giants and New Orleans Saints going in different directions with their respective top 10 choices.

Giants had investigated All options, including the Quarterback position, up to the draft, but eventually landed on the Penn State Edge Rusher Abdul Carter with the third overall choice.

But perhaps most surprisingly, Saints’ decision was to work out Texas -offensive tackle Kelvin Bank’s Jr. With # 9 selection despite their uncertainty with the Quarterback position.

The situation around the veteran Derek Carr has led to many questions in the last several weeks. What began as reports of a potential shoulder injury that required surgery was apparently confirmed by the Holy General Manager Mickey Loomis only Wednesday when he said Carr has a shoulder “problem.”

But the “clarity” ended there.

“We hope to get some resolution and some clarity about it in the near future,” said Loomis. “And when we do, I’ll report back to you. Otherwise I have nothing more on Derek.”

When he was pressed on, if he thought the 2025 starter was currently on their list, Loomis refused to answer.

“I don’t want to answer it,” he started, “because it just wants to lead to a bunch of speculation no matter what way I answer it.”

All characters pointed to a possible quarterback choice with their first choice, but the saints who have not drafted a quarterback in the first round since Loomis became GM in 2002, met their other needs instead.

Banks go to New Orleans, where he is expected to compete with Trevor Penning, whose possibility of the fifth year was not brought to a Startrollle. Meanwhile, Sanders still remained on the board with 14 elected.
