A NYPD officer killed in the shooting has been identified as 36-year-old Didarul Islam, an immigrant from Bangladesh who left two sons and a pregnant wife, according to NYPD. He was one of the two uniformed officers at 345 Park Avenue when the shooting took place, although he was out to work as a security for Rudin Management Company inside the building on Monday.
“We are deeply grateful to the law enforcement authorities who reacted quickly and resolutely and resolutely to Officer Islam who gave his life to protect others,” Goodell wrote.

Tisch said Tamura traveled cross -country skiing, where his vehicle was last seen in Columbia, New Jersey as recently as 16.24, which wasn’t long before releasing a barrier of shots at the high -rise building.
Security video shows that Tamura enters the lobby of 345 Park Avenue and immediately opens fire and shoots more people. Then he shot a security guard behind a desk with an M4 attack rifle, Tisch said.
Tamura waited for an elevator where he let a woman leave unkind before taking it to the 33rd floor. He continued to shoot and kill another person before eventually taking his own life, police say.
Tamura was licensed to carry a hidden weapon in Nevada.
NYPD clears each floor of the building to make sure everyone was safe and no other shooting game was present.

“Those based in New York must work externally tomorrow. It is understandable if you prefer to take the day off. There will be increased security presence at 345 Park Avenue in the coming days and weeks.
Each one of you is a valued member of the NFL family. We get through this together. “
