“Furthermore, the recent rumors for which no affirmative facts have not been uncovered, not -built,” the letter continued. “Rumors that quickly spiral out of control have the potential to seriously harm the good reputation that each of us should enjoy. Therefore, the spread of rumors is sinful and we should all work to overcome this trend of our fallen human nature.”

Casey noted that the Police Department to Green Township confirmed to the Archdiocese that there was no “any evidence or investigation of criminal wrongdoing by Fr. Bachman.” The letter also noted that there are no continuous “ecclesiastical investigations.”

But under Williams’ address, McQuaide stood up from his PEW to demand more clarity.

“Take a moment. We’ll put these rumors to rest. Can you answer this for me, fact or fiction?” McQuaide was heard in a video obtained by WCPO. A person in the video is heard similar to, “This is not time for this,” but McQuaide continues.

“I’m sorry, sir, this is the time and the place. I will get up.”

Officers with Police Department to Green Township are seen escorting McQuaide out of the church. According to Cincinnati Enquirer, police were asked by the Archdiocese to participate in the fair in the event of a disturbance.

In a statement to Pakinomist Digital, Captain Mitch Hill said that McQuaide “was escorted in the specific direction of the church” and that he was not arrested or charged with any crime. Hill also noted that Bachman “has not been the target of an investigation from this department” and that the Green Township police have not been asked to investigate any questions involving him.

A parishioner told Cincinnati Enquirer that he filed a complaint with the Archdiocese, after allegedly seeing pictures on the parish computer, “which included miniature photos for adult pornography pages and other sites with explicit content.” While the man said the pictures appear legally, he thought they violated parish rules.

In his letter, Casey said Bachman will take a “previously scheduled Sabbath day” in July.

McQuaide, 37, is currently a free agent after spending last season with three teams, including most recently Miami Dolphins. He spent most of his 14-year-old career in the NFL and played for the Nu-Los Angeles Rams, which he was a two-time pro bowler. He also spent time with Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.
