The NFL legend Lawrence Taylor was among the toughest meetings to ever play the sport.
Taylor, 66, remembered for a moment from his play career against Joe Montana, where, after he was dipped by the legendary quarterback, he issued a strict warning.
“I remember playing Joe Montana and I chased him down, he came out, he chased out, he runs to outside the boundaries. And just before he stepped out of the borders, I just let you know. The son of A – he took that ball and ran another 15 meters, right?

“And I went to him and I said, ‘Listen, Hi, let me tell you something. If you ever do it again, I will turn you on.’ And he apologized and he said, ‘Man, I understand.’ “
Montana would have been smart to listen to Taylor’s warning, which some consider the greatest defensive player of all time.
Taylor then brought Kansas City Chiefs up quarterback Patrick Mahomes and sympathized with defenders to comply with the rules while trying to slow down quarterbacks in today’s NFL.
“Today you can’t even touch them when they hit the ground. But what happens then when you play a guy like mahomes who make his fake will go down and then he takes and runs away. I mean what happens?
If Taylor was still playing, he would be sure to issue Mahomes a similar warning he did to Montana.

Taylor is not the only prominent football figure to question the rules of quarterbacks crawling. Tom Brady shared a similar feeling as Taylor during a performance on Fox Sports’ “The Herd” in January.
“When quarterbacks run their backs and they are out of their pocket, they should lose their protection,” Brady said.
“We’re trying to protect quarterbacks, but coaches call more quarterback races than ever in the game’s story. So who protects quarterback? We’re trying to say the judges should do it?”
There were two calls that Mahomes was the recipient of the Chiefs victory over Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round, which triggered debate.
Texans’ Star Defensive End Will Anderson Jr. Was marked for a rough-passenger penalty to hit Mahomes up against the main area while throwing a passport, but what Brady seems to be referring to is the penalty Mahomes received in the third quarter.
Mahomes shrinked in the third quarter, and as he slipped, he was hit by two Texans defenders near the main area as he went down.
