NFL football is back in action. Well, kind.
Los Angeles Chargers will take on the Detroit Lions in 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game at. 20 one in Canton, Ohio.
It will be the first time since 2000 that an NFL -Seasonal Game will be played in July.

The tight end Antonio Gates, a Chargers legend, will officially be introduced to the Hall of Fame on Saturday with Cornerback Eric Allen, defensive end Jared Allen and the broad recipient Sterling Sharpe.
The Lions will be the game’s designated homemaker after they walked 15-2 last season and were NFC’s No. 1 Seed. They were disturbed in a great way by the Washington commanders in the divisional round.
After the loss, both offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn traveled to the main coach job. Johnson joined Lions ‘Division -Rival, Chicago Bears, while Glenn entered the New York Jets’ head coach.

John Morton, who served as Denver Broncos passing the game coordinator the last two seasons, was hired to replace Johnson as offensive coordinator. Kelvin Sheppard, who spent the last three seasons like Lions’ linebackers coach, was promoted to replace Glenn.
As for chargers, they come out of a campaign where they went 11-6 and played playoffs in head coach Jim Harbaugh’s first season with the team. They lost in the Wild Card round of Houston Texans, a game in which quarterback Justin Herbert fought mighty.
During 17 games in regular season, Herbert threw only three interceptions, but in Chargers ’32 -12 playoff losses he threw a career high four interception.
However, Herbert will not play on Thursday as Trey Lance and the unveiled Rookie DJ Uiagalelei get snaps.

Lance played four games for Dallas Cowboys last season and finished 61% of his passports in 266 yards and an eavesdropping. Uiagalelei played on three different colleges in his career: Clemson (2020-2022), Oregon State (2023) and Florida State (2024).
Lions want Hendon Hooker and Kyle Allen as their quarterbacks in the exhibition gap.
Hooker was Lions’ third round election in 2023 NFL Draft and performed in three games last season. Allen spent last season with Pittsburgh Steelers and enters his first year with Lions.
