The National Football League was hit by an antitrust case by two fans who claim that the league has refused to allow its teams to participate in Bluesky, according to several reports.
Patrick Brown, a Chicago Bears fan, and Collin Vincent, rooted to Seattle Seahawks, filed a 14-page complaint in New York, claiming the league is withheld commitment between teams and players on the social media site.
“Where the teams meet their fans on social media are between the teams and the fans,” Thomas Burt, the plaintiffs’ lawyer, told the Front Office sports. “The NFL does not have the legal right to inject itself into this decision.”

Puck first reported the trial.
The fans feel that they should not be limited to platforms, especially X, to engage in their team.
Fred Kirsch, Vice President of Content for Kraft Sports & Entertainment, recently said on the podcast “Patriots Unfiltered” that New England Patriots “were not allowed to” have a Bluesky account and was actually told by NFL to delete their page.
The site has collected over 30 million new users, most people participating in the middle of Elon Musk’s changes to the then Twitter, now known as X, and the billionaire’s commitment to the Trump administration.

The trial says that NFL’s decision to prevent teams on Bluesky is a “financial matter” that cites “published reports.” Sports Business Journal reported last month that the league wants a paid partnership with Bluesky if teams were to join.
The case also says the NFL announced earlier this month that teams are not allowed on the platform, even if no such message has been published or even reported.
NFL did not immediately respond to an E email about a request for comment.
