The Nfl Has increased security in his offices after a lonely gunman opened fire in the league’s headquarters in New York City last month, killed four people and wounded a league employee.
The NFL Executive Vice President Jeff Miller confirmed the new security measures to Outkick and added that the league “works with the building and tenants in the building on building security.”

“We are very lucky that our security manager, Cathy Lanier, former Washington police chief, has a huge experience in this room and that we have fantastic partners in the building when we look for ways to make it even more secure than it was before.”

Four people were killed and a fifth was wounded inside the 345 Park Avenue building on July 28, when investigators say Shane Tamura, 27, from Las Vegas, opened fire while trying to get to NFL offices. The building also houses the headquarters for Blackstone.
An NFL employee Reportedly, the lobby was shot during the attack. He tried to contact employees to warn them of the active shooting game before calling 911.
“NFL is deeply grateful for the global outflow of support after the tragic act of violence by New York City Building that houses our league office among other organizations, ”the league said in its first statement of the attack.

“We honor the four innocent lives lost, including NYPD officer Didarul Islam, whose heroism will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with the survivors when they begin the difficult journey with physical and emotional improvement.”
Earlier this month, the NFL allegedly sent a memo to all 32 teams that advised them to improve security after the deadly shooting.
Among the recommendations were the proposal to have armed law enforcement or security officers in team and league buildings when players or staff are present. Another recommendation was weapons screenings in these places.

“The Committee recognizes that these changes will affect day -to -day operations and require an investment of time, coordination and resources,” the note said, according to ESPN. “However, there is no higher priority than the security and feeling of security for our players, coaches, staff and everyone who works in and around our facilities.
