The Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss was noticeably absent from several broadcasts of ESPN’s long-lasting “Sunday NFL Countdown” down in last year’s NFL season.
The former broad recipient was forced to go away from his broadcast tasks when he was told about a cancer diagnosis. He published his health situation last December.

Moss was able to perform at ESPN in February on the Super Bowl on Sunday. “It’s been hard, but I got a lot of love, and many people believe in me, man. So I’m happy to be here,” said Moss on February 9 during his return to ESPN set inside Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans.
The former Minnesota Vikings star is now ready to return to “Sunday NFL Countdown” full time in time for the start of the 2025 season, ESPN confirmed to the athletic.

ESPN described Moss’ return as one of this offseason’s water ship moments.
“Randy’s return on the Super Bowl on Sunday was an emotional lift – not only for our team, but for the entire football community – and knowing that he will resume his full Sunday NFL counting plan, starting in week 1, has been the highlight of the season,” the network said in a statement sent to the Atletic.

In December, Moss went to his social media platform to reveal that he “fought for something internally.” He later said he was hospitalized after he underwent a procedure for treating cancer placed in the bile duct between the pancreas and the liver.
Shortly after his announcement, ESPN Moss confirmed some time away from his role with the network.

“They found it in the bile duct right between the pancreas and the liver, and that the cancer sat just outside the bile channel,” he said on December 13.
The treatment plan for moss included radiation and chemotherapy.
