“I put it all straight,” Rodgers said with a smile. “I put it all straight. I have no problem.”

Rodgers said he was talking to Giants’ Head coach Brian Daboll and is in regular contact with Viking coach Kevin O’Connell. He also noted that he was talking to Mike Tomlin and even visiting Steelers’ facility in secret.

“I am open to something and attached to nothing. Retirement can still be an option, but right now my focus is and has been and will continue to be in my personal life … There are still conversations that are being had.”

Rodgers rejected the story of his next step and said that the length of contract and money are non-issuing for him. He also said that what team decides to do in the draft next week also has no bearing on his decision.

Steelers Owner Art Rooney II sees ‘Positive Signs’ that Aaron Rodgers will join the team

“I’m not out there and put S — out just to put S — out, it’s just not how I work. There have been a lot of people assuming they have information about me-it’s just not true. I’ve been straight up with these teams from the start of where I was on, starting with money things.”

What Rodgers knows for sure is that his decision to play will be largely based on where he is in his personal life.

I am in a different phase of my life. I am 41 years old, I am in a serious relationship. I have off-the-Field things that require my attention. I have personal obligations I have committed not to know what my future would look like after last year that is important to me. And I have a few people in my inner, inner circle who really fight for some lane.

“To commit to a team is a big thing, whether you are a first-year player or a 20-year-old veterinarian,” he added.
