Las Vegas Raiders draft of Pick Ashton Jeanty was also among those affected by the prank call epidemic that hit the NFL views.

Heisman Trophy finalist revealed in a recent podcast interview that his call came in after he was already elected. He said the prank call told him he was traded for Dalla’s cowboys.

“Some guy called me who was like, ‘yes … We just traded with Raiders and you come to Cowboys,” he said at the “Stacking the Box” podcast. “I just hung on, bro. I was like, ‘Come on, bro.’ ‘

Jeanty said before the draft, it would have been a dream to play for cowboys since he grew up in Frisco, Texas, before he committed himself to Boise State in college.

“I would very much like to play for cowboys,” he told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth back in January. “It would be like a dream come true. Of course, I played in their practice stadium, and all our home games in high school, even my first year when we came down here for Frisco Bowl, we practiced there again.

“So it would just feel like I’m at home, honestly. I won’t say too much, but Dallas, they’ve always had a good race back and when they’ve got a good race back, they play much better.”

Raiders was the next best option.

Jeanty was far from the only player that was pranked. The most notorious call was placed to shoot Sanders as he slipped to the fifth round. The guilty was revealed to be the son of Atlanta Falcon’s defense coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.
