Cleveland Browns Playing Joe Thomas delivered a message to “Shedeur Sanders Cult,” after the controversy followed his performance in the team’s last trial play.
Sanders played with the third stricter during the team’s last trial match against Los Angeles Rams and fought. He entered the third quarter and completed three of six passes in 14 yards while taking five sacks for a loss of 41 yards.
Sanders’ defenders accused the coaching staff of his matches. But Thomas pushed back during a recent performance on Outkick’s “Don’t @ Me With Dan Dakich.”

“There’s a lot of nuance in what blame Sanders -cult doesn’t have. They just think we’re morons of not being able to see that this guy is the biggest thing since sliced bread, the biggest quarterback since Tom Brady, and he’s ready to be able to raise the franchise to their first Super Bowl of All Time, and we are not to see it,” Thomas said. “Thomas said.” Thomas said.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer said he thinks Sanders has a high ceiling but still needs a lot of development before he becomes an NFL starter.
“I think he has a higher ceiling. He is a fantastic playmaker, he has a huge accuracy, he has that feeling when he is in the game about how to make the big spectacles. But just because you have the ceiling that is really high and that potential to do it doesn’t mean you can do it right now,” Thomas said.

“And as a talent in the first round, it’s typically the guy they’re able to put right in there right away and give them everything they have, and there’s growing pain with every quarterback, especially a rookie. I think the reason for shooting watch fell to the fifth round is because they want to have a lot of development that he still needs to do before he can be a nfl.”
The 10th time pro bowler said there is no conspiracy of sabotaging Sanders-if something the opposite, the better Sanders, the more attention he can draw to the sport.
“The reality of the NFL draft is that you have 32 teams that everyone wants to beat each other, and therefore they do not conspire together to sabotage someone who, by the way, would be great for the league. And he is great for the league because the league wants the eyeballs,” Thomas said.

“They want people who see their games, they want these great personalities, and therefore there is no reason – there is no reason why they would try to conspire against him and sabotage him. In fact, the opposite: They will promote a guy like the one because he is so big to the league. It doesn’t make sense at any level.”
Sanders enters the season as the team’s # 3 quarterback on the depth card. Joe Flacco starts when Browns opens against Cincinnati Bengals in week 1, with Dillon Gabriel as his backup.
