Dallas Cowboy’s owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he doesn’t know if Star Pass Rusher Micah Parsons will play in week 1.

This week, Jones was asked if he was convinced that Parsons would be part of this set -up.

“No, definitely not,” Jones journalists said after the team’s joint practice with Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday. “A big part of that is his decision. How would I know that? No, but I rush.”
Jones said he has not spoken to Parsons since the star made a trade request, but Jones said it remains “urgent.” Jones has remained steadfast in his praise of Parsons after his commodity.

“I think the world of Micah,” Jones said. “As I have said, I have had social time with Micah, which is not always the case, but I have. He is one of the brightest people I have ever been to and he is very, very talented. Now how we eventually (mix) him in with our future is a challenge and I am built for what he is built for it.”
Parsons has still participated in practice and participated in meetings while the contract negotiations continue to stop.

The four-time pro bowler announced its trade request on social media on Friday, and Parsons cited “Radio Silence” from Cowboys about a contract extension in both this and last season.
In Parsons’ posts to social media, he said he did everything he could to show he would stay with cowboys.
“Yes I would be here. I did all I could to show that I would be a cowboy and carry the star of my helmet. I would play in front of the best fans in sports and do this America [sic] Hold again. The team my pops and I grew up cheering on the way up into Harrisburg, Pa. Unfortunately, I will no longer be here, ”Parsons wrote in his post.

“I will no longer be held to close door negotiations without my agent present. I no longer want shots taken on me to be injured while I placed it on the line for the organization, our fans and my teammates. I no longer want stories created and spread to the media about me.
If Parsons doesn’t play week 1, it would be a big blow to the team’s defense. He has been one of the leading passports since he was selected 12. Collected elections in the 2021 NFL draft from Penn State.
Parsons has made the Pro Bowl in all four seasons in his career.
In 63 career games, Parsons has 52½ sacks with 172 solo tackles and nine forced fumbles. Last season, Parsons had 12 sacks in 13 games.
