Colorado football head coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders sent a cryptic X post on Wednesday.

Sanders’ post comes only a few days after his son Shedeur shocking fell to the 144th election in the NFL draft, in one of the most unprecedented slides in the latest history. However, his post did not directly refer to this topic.

“I can do better, I know better, I was learned better, I’ve seen better, and I’m definitely better! I am also grateful for a new opportunity to do what I am blessed to do and I will not take it for granted. Lord creates a pure heart and renew the right spirit in me,” Sanders wrote.

Sanders’ post repeats a consistent Christian theme that the family has radiated throughout the situation.

Shedeur even thanked God in social media posts several times, from Thursday to Saturday, including two X positions that went alive minutes apart – before and after he was selected by Browns.

Deion Sanders Jr. Made five X-positions with reference to Bible Verses dating back to Thursday, and often shared them again as his brother fell into the draft.

Meanwhile, the father has approached religion in earlier difficult chapters in his life.

Deion has said he devoted themselves to Christianity Shortly after his first divorce from ex-wife Carolyn Chambers in 1998. Sanders opened up the experience during an interview about “Running Wild” with Bear Grylls in November 2023.

“It was when I went through my first divorce, where the only things I knew really loved me were my two children. Now they are gone, now they have been taken away. It was devastating and I went through suicide thoughts, a suicide period,” Sanders said.

“I was driving this car from the side of the highway and at the bottom I thought this car would just turn, and that wasn’t flip. And I was still there. Shortly afterwards I just had to come to the Lord with my hands up and say, ‘I’m done. I can’t do it anymore. You’ve got me. I give up. God you take me.'”

During an initial press conference last year in memory of his position as a new head on UC, Sanders praised the god of Sanders.

“Out of all people in the world, God chose me,” Sanders said. “For that, I thank him; for what I love him; for that, I enlarge him; for that, I glorify him; for that I praise him; for that I owe him. Every day I try to please him,”

Sanders has maintained his family’s devotion to faith even in the middle of pushback from external sources.

He came under fire by an anti -religion group, The Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF), over his use of a team priest to Colorado this last season. Sanders had Pastor Dewey Smith prayed over the football team after his victory against Baylor University on September 22.

FFRF released a shame Four-page letter To condemn Sanders and claim that Smith did the prayer spoken as “constitutional religious activities” as he leads a football team at a public university.

When Sanders became the head coach of Colorado in 2023, FFRF raised concerns about his former open view of faith with his team. This resulted in the university giving him further education at the boundaries of religious expressions in public institutions. The university revealed in a statement that Sanders had received education in requirements for non -discrimination and requirements for establishment clause after his employment.

But that hasn’t changed him.
