Shedeur Sanders was assumed by most NFL experts to be a first round of election in the NFL draft in April.
However, Sanders fell to the fifth round before being selected by Cleveland Browns.
Tim Green, an Atlanta Falcon’s first round election in 1986 and a former teammate of Deion Sanders, told Pakinomist Digital that he was proud of Shedur for how he handled his unprecedented fall.

Green was diagnosed with ALS in 2018 and spoke with Pakinomist Digital with an artificial intelligence -generated voice.

Browns have five quarterbacks on their list but have no clear starting. Deshaun Watson removed his Achilles-sen in January after undergoing surgery on the same late in October 2024, and his status of the upcoming season is in doubt.
Browns acquired Kenny Pickett in a trade with Philadelphia Eagles and signed Joe Flacco for one year’s contract before the NFL draft. With the additions of the third round pick Dillon Gabriel and Sanders to an already packed quarterback room, it’s left to see who’s the week 1 nodded.
“I also think people often forget that the dream is to get to the NFL. When you’re in, it doesn’t matter when you became a draft. It matters what you do with that opportunity. I look forward to seeing him play for Cleveland Browns.”

Green and Deion Sanders played together with Falcons together from 1989-1993. Green said that Sanders is much more to him than a former teammate.
“I would say that Deion Sanders is not only a former teammate but also a lifelong friend. Coach Prime is a unique person and a devoted father,” Green said.
Green played eight seasons in the NFL, all with Falcons. In 99 games he recorded 24 sacks, a security and nine recovered fumbles.
