“I’m not playing for anyone’s approval,” Fields explained. “In guys, everyone wants your opinion and I will never take any of that personally. As I said, it doesn’t matter. You can have an opinion you can say that and that, but at the end of the day our lives will not change. If I say something to you right now, the same thing will happen.
“It doesn’t really affect life. It doesn’t really affect the way we live. So if you look at it from that perspective, the bigger perspective, no matter what someone says, it doesn’t matter at the end of the day. It has zero that means to me, to someone. God controls everything that happens in this world. I just let people be and let them talk.”

Fields said he picked up the mindset in the last six months. He joined Jets in free agency after a season of Pittsburgh Steelers and more with Chicago Bears.
He said it was a major reason why his focus changed “closer to God”.
“My relationship, my reading of the Bible every day,” he said. “If I’m real, there are some good lines and great wisdom that I didn’t even know about. I’m low -pitched on getting in my Bible every day because I learn something new every day and I’m able to apply it to my everyday life.
