New York Jet’s main coach Aaron Glenn became viral over the weekend as he sprinted and danced down the sidelines as the team took the lead against Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a blocked field goal that turned back to the touchdown by linebacker Will McDonald IV.

Glenn’s dance became the new meme, at least for a brief moment as a handful of social media users who put a earth, wind & fire song under the grooves.

However, it was all for nothing. Baker Mayfield led Buccaneers’ violation down the field, and Chase McLaughlin kicked the winning field goal. Tampa Bay improved to 3-0 a year, while New York fell to 0-3.

Glenn’s dance did not seem to win over the legendary New York City Sports Radio host Mike Francesa.

“I don’t need a cheerleader on the sidelines. I don’t need one of these coaches running up and down with his team as if he is still playing,” he said at his bet Rivers podcast. “You don’t play anymore. Use your brain. You’re there to work out. You don’t play.

“So I don’t need you to jump around and run around the sidelines when your team finally plays a spectacle. It’s a coach who doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. I want the guy who thinks about the next spectacle.”

Glenn made it clear that his team is not the “same old jets” and had to fight to the bitter end.

“You just said we’re 0-3, we’re 0-3. How many more games do we have back? It speaks for itself,” he said Sunday. “We have a lot of games to play and you can build on this, you can build on this. The one thing I don’t do as I understand that New York media is trying to do are the negative parts of it, but I won’t be that way.

“I will let you deal with it. We will let you deal with it. We will look at the things we did well and we will continue to push forward because we want to improve and we will make sure we get over that humpback – I know.”
