NFL News: Steve Smith Sr. facing a legal battle in NC for alleged affair

Former NFL star and current analyst Steve Smith Sr. is now facing a legal battle months after a man accusing the five-time pro bowler on social media for having an affair with his wife who was a member of it Baltimore Ravens marching band at the time.

The trial filed in Mecklenburg County Superior Court Tuesday is looking for more than $ 100,000 in compensation under a hazy state law known as “alienation of love” law, Charlotte Observer First reported Thursday.

The scandal involving Smith first began in February when an X account named Antonio Martinez published a number of messages and screens aimed at the former NFL Pro.

“Beat me up. At your wife you’ve been f-min wife,” one of the posts read.

The account then shared several screens of what seemed to be sexually explicit text messages between Martinez’s wife and Smith. Some of the posts also included pictures of Smith that were allegedly sent to the woman. The account also sent a video of an alleged conversation between Martinez and Smith when the man seemed to confront Smith about the alleged affair.

User on social media claims that ex-ravens star had affair with his wife who is apparently on the team’s marching band

“You’ve been f — ing my wife, bro?” The man in the video could be heard ask. “What are you going to say for yourself?”

“I’m sorry,” the other person replied before eventually hanging.

According to the lawsuit obtained by Charlotte Observer, the woman allegedly met Smith as a member of the Raven’s marching band. Smith spent the majority of his 16-year-old career with Carolina Panthers Before playing three seasons with Ravens.

Smith allegedly filmed an episode for “The NFL’s most interesting jobs with Steve Smith” in September with Ravens’ marching band when the couple allegedly exchanged contact information.

According to the civil case, the alleged affair continued for months with the last two meeting at a hotel in Baltimore in January. Smith was allegedly in the city of Ravens’ playoffs against Buffalo Bills.

A request for comment was sent to Smith’s former agent.
