The NFL decided to put a vote that would ban tush -push until May during the owners’ meetings on Tuesday.
Both players and coaches have weighed in the game, from health concerns to the competitive advantage it has given Philadelphia Eagles because of their unmatched success with it.
Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce has a reminder to those who want the play prohibited due to health and safety concerns.

“As I understand the whole, if you want to say it’s not sure, football isn’t a safe game to play. So I know we’re trying to make it safer or whatever, as it is,” Kelce said during a recent episode of “new heights.”
“I think it’s a football type of game, it’s a toughness game that you need to be synchronized with the guys next to you and the guys around you, and it’s on both sides of the ball. I don’t think we have to ban this.”
Former Philadelphia Eagles -Center Jason Kelce, who ran tush -push with Jalen Hurts and Co., don’t think the play leads to an increase in injury.

“For me personally, I’ve never felt that there’s so much more a risk of harming someone on the play, and I don’t think there are any statistics to back up it. So someone who says it will lead to more injuries is pure presumption, not the root of actually. I think the only argument I see to potentially ban it is there is a competitive advantage?” Said Jason.
“Like the piece stinks to run. But it sucks due to an exertion, as an energy level, it takes so much to try to get a farm. It is not a collision with a high influence. There is not, for the most part, people do not even get rolled up because you keep your feet moving. Is dangerous that it is a danger from one that it is one that it is a danger.
Jason said that if the play is banned, he expects Eagles to still have a lot of success in running a traditional quarterback.

Travis questioned what other traditional football games could be prohibited next if tush -push is considered illegal.
“How far down the line does it go> players on the defense who are not allowed to keep guys up now to try to get someone come in and get a strip? At what time should we just let football be football?” Said Travis.
In May, the owners gather together and determine the fate of Tush Push and whether football will be football.
