After Xavier Worthy avoided assault charges after his arrest for an alleged assault against his ex-fell, he now sues her.
Worthy was arrested earlier this month in Texas, but was able to avoid the charges, District Attorney Shawn Dick said after talking to several witnesses.
But Worthy brought a lawsuit against her ex-enhanced, Tia Jones, for extortion, where she claimed she stole more than $ 150,000 in cash and property and assaulted him.

Worthy claimed that Jones “planned to extort a home, money, cars, and other valuables from the plaintiff by summarizing false stories of domestic violence and leaking the same to the press for professional and personally murdering the plaintiff’s character and reputation.”

Jones got a protective order of a Texas judge earlier this month.
“Mrs. Jones has chosen to use her voice to speak for herself,” her lawyer, Angelica Cogliano, said in a statement to Associated Press. “In doing so, she looks forward to the facts and the circumstances of the night that emerges through the formal legal process and gets the righteousness she deserves.”
Worthy, a draft of the first round from 2024, was chosen by Texas and Silver Porch in Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss last month, was arrested in Williamson County on a charges of assault on a family or household member where their breath was hindered.
Details of the alleged assault were not immediately known, but Worthy’s lawyers said in a separate statement that the claim was made after a woman who lived in his home refused to leave when he was repeatedly asked.

She was allegedly asked to leave “by the discovery of her adultery.”
Both parties have said that they are working with the authorities on ongoing investigations.
