The father of NFL players Amon-Ra St. Brown and Equanimeous St. Brown pulled back on Sunday as a revived clip about his intake of developing athletes became viral.
John Brown, a former bodybuilder, appeared on his sons podcast last year and talked about his answer when people ask him how he was able to get his sons into the NFL and another to play top-tier Collegiate football.

“What is the question they ask you most about how to make three children go D1 and two in the NFL,” asked Amon-Ra St. Brown his father on “St. Brown Podcast.”
Brown replied he believed in “Breeding.”
“Look at you – good athlete, good athlete,” he said of his sons. “I’m black, his mother is white. Now I have done on it once, you can’t continue to step on it because you will mess it up. You will weaken it … can’t continue to cut it.
“You and Brooklyn’s (Amon-Ra’s fiancĂ©) half and half, you have a chance. … you can’t keep cutting it. You have to be careful. You can’t keep cutting it. You have to think about it. You know what I mean? If I am black I got the black gold through my vein, I’m excited. I just want to find the right person to friend.
Luis Sharpe, former Cardinals All-Pro Tackle, Death of 65
“If you don’t want athletes, just go ahead and spread your seed anywhere … I knew I could cut it once. … I got black gold in me and Mama got the big chin and big toes. I said, ‘Look, nothing is wrong with a big toe.’ You have to think about these things.
While the comments are about 11 months old, they still generated conversation online. Former Notre Dame -quarterback Malik Zaire and Houston Texan’s Linebacker NO -speed was among those who responded.
Amon-Ra and Equanimeous’ mother is Miriam Brown, originally from Germany. Their brother, Osiris, played college football in Stanford.
Amon-Ra St. Brown was an all-pro-broad receiver last year for the second even time as a member of the Detroit Lions. He had 115 catches in 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Equanimeous St. Brown was with New Orleans Saints last season. He played only two matches.
