“NFL REDZONE” host Scott Hanson said the message that advertising was part of the beloved show was not ready and that he understood why people would be upset.

“NFL REDZONE,” for the first time ever, announced that it would implement advertisements on the way into the 2025-2026 season and fans went to social media to express their dissatisfaction. Hanson broke the news on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” before week 1 and fans were in a riot.

Hanson told Pakinomist Digital he wanted the messages about the advertisements to be more clear.

“I would have hoped that the messages could have been a little different in advance. That means I think we should have just come out and said, ‘Hi, yes, there will be advertisements. There will be four, 15-second commercial advertisements spread over seven hours and we hope you don’t notice any difference, or at least not much difference,’

“I don’t think this message was ready. I think fans were getting angry because they thought there would be as many commercials in ‘Redzone’ as there is in an individual NFL game, and it’s already a pay channel. I get people up for it,” Hanson said.

The 54-year-old host said that as a host of the show, he had nothing to say about advertising that was added.

“I want to say this. I understand myself as a consumer why people would be upset. I host the show. The business people handle the business side of things and I have no control over it. I have nothing to say in it. All I could tell you is I want to show you more football than anyone else on the planet,” Hanson said.

“And if there’s someone else out there who wants to show you more football than I would, I would very much like to meet him. I would love that because we wanted a good community together, because that’s how I’m wired.”

Hanson said the feedback he got from fans after a week of advertising was good.

“When people saw what the commercials looked like, some people said they didn’t even notice the commercials. And it was a very successful show-a very, very large audience, very successful show and I am grateful that we hopefully now get into the season’s meat, and people still want to know that Redzone is the best one-stop shop for their football fandom.”

Hanson is the collaboration with Lowe’s for their “Earn your Sunday” campaign.

For millions of NFL fans, Sundays are about football, family and tradition. With “Earn your Sunday” Lowe’s calls them to bring the same dedication and preparation as they have for their teams in their homes. Hanson said Lowe’s has everything you need to get your home project done during the week so fans can enjoy their football Sundays.

“Lowe’s has come up with a fantastic campaign this year, called Earn your Sunday. And the concept is this, we have all the projects we need in the house, around the house, in the yard. Everyone has got them, right? Well, Lowe’s urges everyone to let it get done in the week, on Friday or Saturday, so you have earned your Sunday to sit down and rock and roll with Uncle Scott, or with your favorite Football,” said. “

“I think this campaign this year will really resonate with fans because none of us want to sit on the couch all day on Sunday and feel guilty. We want to know, ‘Ah, got the projects done.’ You go to Lowe’s, you get the things you need to get the projects done in your house.

Philadelphia Eagles, who runs back Saquon Barkley, Minnesota Vikings Broad receives Justin Jefferson, San Francisco 49ers, who runs back Christian McCaffrey and Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott are all among NFL stars who support Lowes Campaign.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun this season,” Hanson said.
